Web Design Contract

1. Project Scope and Deliverables

  • Description of Work: Outline the specific tasks involved, such as creating wireframes, designing mockups, coding, and other web development aspects.
  • Deliverables: List each deliverable (e.g., homepage design, content pages, mobile responsiveness, etc.) and the number of revisions allowed for each.
  • Additional Services: Any work outside the agreed scope will require a separate estimate and approval before proceeding.

2. Timeline and Milestones

  • Start Date: When the project will commence.
  • Completion Date: Estimated end date or number of weeks to complete the project.
  • Milestones: Outline specific milestones or phases, including deadlines for each (e.g., completion of wireframes, first draft, final review).

3. Payment Terms

  • Total Project Fee: State the full amount agreed upon.
  • Payment Schedule: Define the payment breakdown (e.g., 50% deposit upfront, 25% after first draft, final 25% upon project completion).
  • Additional Charges: State any work outside the original scope or additional revisions will incur extra charges.

4. Client Responsibilities

  • Content and Feedback: Specify that the client is responsible for providing all necessary content (images, text, etc.) and timely feedback to avoid delays.

5. Ownership and Intellectual Property

  • Copyright and Licensing: State that, upon final payment, the client will own the rights to the final website and design.
  • Designer Portfolio Rights: Allow the designer to showcase the work in their portfolio and marketing materials.

6. Revisions and Changes
